I went out to the greenbelt tonight and found over 100 morels. I think these are still Black Morels but they are fairly blond because they live under Cottonwood trees. There were a lot more up since I was there last week. Take a look at the photos. Click on the picture to get a closeup.
Wow! Impressive! While working on the Clean Up this Saturday on the Owyhee I will have to pay extra attention for both garbage and morels. Truly a case of trash and treasure. Last year all we found was 860 pounds of trash and three rattlesnakes. Come on over to the river this Saturday. We start at 9:00 am. The IFF sponsors a barbecue at the village after the clean up. We are hoping to have enough people to be done with the clean up (12 miles) and have the barbecue at 12:30-1:00. Bring Wendy.
ReplyDeleteNice collection, I'll be over for dinner for sure!
ReplyDeleteOkay, no need to come pick up trash or have ME over. YOU bring the morels and Wendy, I have the steaks and we'll check them out for toxicity! Deal or no deal? reta
